About
KAUFN.COM.
KAUFN.COM is a project market for e-commerce in Germany. It shows where companies are building e-commerce projects right now – such as a marketplace channel, an online shop or advertising on Amazon and OTTO – and connects these companies with specialised service providers.
Our goal is transparency: the best service providers should win the best projects – not those with the biggest sales budget.
Why KAUFN?
KAUFN comes from the German verb “kaufen” – to buy – with the E cut out. We removed it like every detour between project and deal. In e-commerce, whoever sees first and delivers best takes the market.
How we detect
projects.
We read public job postings of the German Federal Employment Agency and check whether a company is building up its e-commerce. Each project gets a signal type and is mapped to the matching services. Postings without an e-commerce link, agencies and staffing firms are filtered out.
| Signal type | Meaning | Projects |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace role | The job title names Amazon, marketplace, OTTO, TikTok Shop or similar. | 42 |
| Marketplace in job posting | The job posting names Amazon or other marketplaces as the company's own sales channel. | 278 |
| Own online shop | The job posting shows the company runs its own online shop; no marketplace is named. | 422 |
| E-commerce role | An e-commerce role or apprenticeship; an own online shop is not stated in the posting. | 237 |
What KAUFN.COM is not
- Not a job board: job postings are only the signal that a project is emerging.
- No public company names: projects are shown anonymously.
- No personal contact data: we do not store contact persons from job postings.
